1. Center of Gravity/ Balance
- Increased balance, increase base
- Getting closer to the ground brings Cof G closer to the ground and makes balancing easier

2. Gymnastic Positions
Tuck Position
-Sitting on mat, knees to chest
Arms around knees

Straddle Position
-Sitting on mat, legs are wide and tight
-Arms in same position
-Back straight, head up, toes pointed

Pike Position
-Sitting on mat, legs straight out in front and tight
-Arms straight out
-Back straight, head up and toes pointed

V-Sit
-Sitting on mat
-Legs and arms are in a V -position, toes are pointed

- Standing on knees, with arms out and hands pointing slightly in
-Fall forward
-Finger tips contact first, then hands and then bend arms to increase time and contact of fall

Backward
-Standing on feet, crouched into a ball with hand reaching backward
-Fall Backwards with hands reaching back to contact mat first
-Hands contact mat, lower back and arms, then shoulders

-Tuck legs and then extend them to a tight vertical position

2. Handstand
Half Handstand
-Lunge with dominant leg forward
-Place hand shoulder width apart and keep straight
-Kick up with non dominant, with pointed toes

Full Handstand
-Lunge with dominant leg forward
-Place hands on mat and kick up with dominant leg
-Bring legs together in a tight vertical position

Handstand to Forward Roll
-Lunge forward with dominant leg, kick up with non dominant leg
-Bring legs together and lean over hands
-Bend arms and tuck head under and roll onto back
